In a nutshell, SOS is an international network of student volunteers on various university campuses across the country. Our model is simple: we raise marks to raise money to raise roofs. We invite you to learn more about us and our process.

Each year we spend $300K on education projects built on our trips – not funded by high travel participant fees, but by SOS volunteers on 30 university campuses who teach Exam-prep review sessions to their peers – keeping Outreach trip fees REALLY low. Get involved, make an impact and travel abroad. Join us in 2016 during February, May or August on one of our outreach trips to Central and South America. Crafted for students like you, our trips are under $2000 and include room, board, transportation, flight, insurance and trip leads - the works!

VOLUNTEER WITH SOS.

YOUR FUTURE SELF WILL THANK YOU.

When you volunteer with SOS, you're making an investment: in yourself, and in a community abroad. You'll be put to task working on infrastructure projects while making mutually-beneficial connections with community members. What does that look like? It looks like renovated classrooms and rejuvenated feeding centres, colourful cooking lessons and riveting cross-cultural dialogue.

Don't just take our word for it - join us. Spend two weeks volunteering in Latin America with a group of like-minded students and working with the community to help build sustainable education projects - brick-by-brick.

WHERE WE WORK

We focus our work in communities across 8 different countries in Latin America. There is a huge need for projects within the region which means we can make a genuine and lasting impact.

As a bonus, staying within the Western Hemisphere means that we can keep travel costs low for our trip participants.
